It is inspired by the icon of the Theotokos the Burning Bush.
Each print in this limited edition was individually pulled by hand from multiple carved blocks. Registration varies throughout the edition, particularly in the gold layer, giving each impression a slightly different character. Some have close registration, while others show more noticeable shifts or stray touches of gold. Because of this wider-than-usual variation, the edition is offered at a special price of $20 per print.
This was the print of the month for May 2026 for my Patreon print club.
